  • Awarded 1 of 2 Partial Scholarships (£750 each) awarded by The British Malaysian Society (BMS) to the youngest selected Active Participants (students - Malaysian)

TAN, Jing Ern (2016)

  • Awarded 1 of 2 Partial Scholarships (£750 each) awarded by The British Malaysian Society (BMS) to the youngest selected Active Participants (students - Malaysian)
  • As a result of her prize-winning success at 'Grand Prize Virtuoso' International Music Competition, she performed at the Royal Albert Hall (Elgar Room), London, UK, on Tuesday 13th December 2016. 
  • As a result of her prize-winning success at 'Grand Prize Virtuoso' International Music Competition, she has now been invited by 'Golden Classical Music Awards' International Music Competition from New York, to perform at Carnegie Hall (Weill Recital Hall), New York, USA, on Sunday, November 5, 2017
  • Performing a solo recital at Bentley Music, Mutiara Damansara, Kuala Lumpur, under the auspices of 'Steinway & Sons Malaysia', on 11th June 2017
  • Performing Rondo Op.1 in c minor by Chopin, for 'Fazioli Night', at Graceful Piano Hall, Kuala Lumpur, on the 9th April 2017
  • Performing a solo recital at Bentley Music, Mutiara Damansara, Kuala Lumpur, under the auspices of 'Steinway & Sons Malaysia', on 11th June 2017
  • Achieved 'Semi-finalist - Western Division', in the 'Intermediate Level', at the 1st Nanyang International Music Competition 2017 (第一届南洋国际音乐大赛) - at Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, Singapore. She will be competing between the 7th to 9th July 2017.
  • Performing in 'Miracle of OMWPA' piano recital, organized by Dol Re Mi Music Centre, Kedah, on 6th August 2017.
  • Achieved 'Bronze Award' in 'C - Intermediate Category, in the 'Western Music - Solo' division, at the 1st Nanyang International Music Competition 2017 (第一届南洋国际音乐大赛) - at Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, Singapore, from 4th to 16th July 2017. 
  • Performed as 'Steinway Malaysia Young Rising Stars' for 'Suomi Finland 100 - 100th Anniversary of Finnish Independence', at Bentley Music, Mutiara Damansara, Kuala Lumpur, on 30th September 2017. 

TAN, Jih Ming 'Benjamin' (2016)

  • In 2017, awarded 'music scholarship' at Sunway International School, Kuala Lumpur, after experiencing a successful audition.
  • Performing a solo recital at Bentley Music, Mutiara Damansara, Kuala Lumpur, under the auspices of 'Steinway & Sons Malaysia', on 14th May 2017
  • Achieved Associate of Trinity College of London - ATCL Recital Diploma (Piano), in Summer 2017

ONG, Weng Yee (2016)

  • Awarded 1 Partial Scholarship (£375 each) awarded by the Corby Foundation Award to the youngest selected Active Participants (student - Singaporean)
  • Auditioned and accepted for a full time study place at Chetham's School of Music, an independent co-educational boarding specialist music school for students aged 8 to 18, Manchester, UK. She would be starting in September 2017
  • Performing in 'Miracle of OMWPA' piano recital, organized by Dol Re Mi Music Centre, Kedah, on 6th August 2017.
  • Selected to perform at Concordia Foundation's 'Candlelit Christmas Concert', at St. Paul's, Covent Garden, London, on 9th December 2017, 7pm.

NGUYEN, My Anh (2016)

  • Performing 'Lunchtime Mini Piano Recital' - at 'School Theater', Renaissance International School Saigon, in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, at 1pm on the 19th April 2017. She would be performing works by Bach, Mozart, Liszt "Un Sospiro" and Prokofiev "Romeo & Juliet Op.75". 
  • Awarded 4th place with 'Honorary Mention Prize', in Kategorie 3 (14 and 15 years old), at '7th International Piano Competition Broumov Key', Broumov, the Czech Republic, on 5th-7th May 2017. This was her very first international competition. The jury was comprised of music pedagogic personnel from Czech Philharmonic, Brno Conservatory, Prague Conservatory, Schola Cantorum de Paris. 

MOHD SA'ADI, Nurin Nabihah binti (2016)

  • Selected to perform with KHOR Beatrice Xin Yu (2016), as soloists, for Concerto for 2 Harpsichords in C minor BWV 1060 (J.S. Bach), at the 'Konsert Permata Seni Muzik 2017', at the Seri Negeri Ballroom, Royale Chulan Hotel, Malaysia, on 27th November 2017.

LIEW, Sin Yee (2016)

  • Performing 'Piano Recital', as part of '2017 Hammerklavier Music Festival', at The Play Haus, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, at 8pm on the 28th April 2017. This would be her very first solo public recital. 
  • As a result of her being selected as one of the First Prize winners, at 'Golden Classical Music Awards' International Music Competition from New York, to perform at Carnegie Hall (Weill Recital Hall), New York, USA, on Sunday, November 5, 2017.

LEE, Abigail (2016)

  • Awarded 'Bronze' award in the Open Category, at the 2017 Singapore Asia Youth Piano Competition 新加坡亚洲青少年钢琴比赛 (1200+ competitors from 6 countries), part of the 2017 SINGAPORE – ASIA YOUTH ARTS FESTIVAL 新加坡–亚洲青少年文化艺术节, Singapore, on the 19th & 20th August 2017. 

KHOR, Beatrice Xin Yu (2016)

  • Auditioned for Permata Seni Muzik programme under Istana Budaya on the 11th February 2017, and successfully accepted as one of the pianists, with first performance at 'Konsert Mentor Mentee' on the 16th April 2017.
  • Awarded 1st prize in 'Part IV - Piano': Junior School category, at 'First PCM National Music and Dance Competition', organized by Persatuan Chopin Malaysia, in Kuala Lumpur - relevant category dates 10th-11th June 2017.
  • Achieved Distinction (146/150) in her Grade 8 piano exam - ABRSM: Summer 2017.
  • Selected as one of the winners of the BMS 60th Merdeka Award for Young Composers (The British Malaysian Society), with her composition given a world premiere performance, at St. Lawrence Jewry, London, on Tuesday 3rd October 2017. She would be also be awarded £100, as well as mentioned in relevant BMS newsletter (The British Malaysian Society). 
  • Awarded the Sothie Paul-Duraisamy High Achievement Award 2017, which recognizes the highest Grade 8 piano candidate (ABRSM 2017: Selangor/KL). As a result of this success, she would be awarded a book prize and trophy, and invited to perform at High Scorers' Concert (ABRSM), at KuAsh Theatre, Kuala Lumpur, on 2nd December, at 7pm.
  • Presented with the BMS 60th Anniversary of Merdeka Concert-Music Composition Award, as one of the winners of the BMS 60th Merdeka Award for Young Composers (The British Malaysian Society), by the Chair and Deputy Chair of the BMS, at Carcosa Seri Negara, Kuala Lumpur, on 8th November 2017, at 1pm. 
  • Selected to perform with MOHD SA'ADI Nurin Nabihah binti (2016), as soloists, for Concerto for 2 Harpsichords in C minor BWV 1060 (J.S. Bach), at the 'Konsert Permata Seni Muzik 2017', at the Seri Negeri Ballroom, Royale Chulan Hotel, Malaysia, on 27th November 2017.

  • Performing, as well as giving 'piano masterclasses' for 'Project Piano 2017' - under the auspices of 'The Piano Society' - at Wei Kuok Methodist Hall, Sarawak, Malaysia, between the 27th and 30th May 2017.

GAN, Wen Qin (2016)

  • Awarded the 'Gold Trophy' at the Asia Piano Competition 2013 (Malaysia Preliminary).
  • Awarded the 'Silver Trophy/Award' - Professional Junior Category, at the 'The Asia Piano Competition 2013 Final' at the National Taiwan Normal University, Taipei, Taiwan, R.O.C between 17th - 19th August 2013. 
  • Top 10 semi-finalist at Steinway and Sons Malaysian Youth Piano Competition 2013-14.
  • Awarded 'Gold Prize' in recognition of 'Outstanding performance' at the 2014 Asia International Piano Academy & Festival (Korea - July 2014)
  • Awarded 'Gold Award' at the Asia Music Competition 2014 (Finals - July 2014)
  • Awarded 'Silver Award' at the Pertandingan Akhir Bakat Muzik 2014 (sekolah menengah Negeri Melaka)

WANG, Mable Wey Ling (2014)

  • Achieved 'Distinction' in her Grade 8 ABRSM exam - 2016.
  • Achieved 'Distinction', and highest ARSM piano exam marks (2017: Penang region), in her ARSM (Associate of the Royal Schools of Music - ABRSM) exam.
  • As a result of her achieving 'Distinction', and highest ARSM piano exam marks (2017: Penang region), in her ARSM (Associate of the Royal Schools of Music - ABRSM) exam, she was invited to perform at Luncheon & Concert for Introduction of ARSM, Kuala Lumpur (5th September 2017), but she was travelling, so ABRSM had invited her again, for her to perform at High Scorers' Concert (ABRSM), at Prince of Wales Island International School, Penang, on 19th November 2017, at 5pm.

TEOH, Yong Xuan (2014)

  • Awarded 2nd Prize 'Senior Category' at the UCSI University International Piano Competition and Competition 2014
  • Performing as 'Voices of Hands', organized by the 3rd Euroasia Youth Music Festival, at Royal Bintang Resort and Spa, Malaysia, 28th August 2015

TANAKO, Meldy (2014)

  • Awarded 'Gold award' at MK Joyworks Recital Festival, KL - May 2015.
  • Awarded 'Gold Prize' and 'Gold Award Overall Champion' at the Asia Pacific Arts Festival, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on 15th January 2017. She had achieved this result with her colleagues, together as ensemble 'DYNAMIC TRIO'
  • Performing her 'Graduation Recital' (Institute of Music - UCSI University) at Le Quadri Ballroom, UCSI (north wing), Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, at 3pm on the 26th April 2017. Her recital to include pieces by Brahms, Beethoven, Zaimont and Prokofiev.

TAN, Tzu Kuang (2014)

  • Champion at the 6th Roland Music Festival 2013 (Open Classical - Piano Solo Category)
  • Awarded 3rd Prize 'Young Artists Piano Solo' Category at the Malaysian Youth Orchestral Foundation (MYOF) 2013

  • Accepted into Berklee (Berklee College of Music), USA, as a full-time Undergraduate student, awarded with USD17,000/year scholarship, possibly to be renewed each year through to graduation. She will be starting in September 2017.

NG, Qian Yao (2014)

  • Awarded 'Silver Prize' in the 'Amateur Teenager' category at The Asia Music Competition 2015 亞洲音樂大賽 - Malaysia Preliminary (KL)
  • Winner of 'Bronze Prize' in the Junior Category at the Asia Youth Music Competion (Kuala Lumpur), in October 2015
  • Performed at the ABRSM's High Scorer' Concert in January 2017, for the 4th consecutive year
  • Third Place Winner, in the 'Intermediate Category - age group 15 to 18' at the American Protégé International Piano and Strings Competition 2017. As a result of this achievement, she would be performing at Carnegie Hall (Weill Recital Hall), New York, USA, later in 2017 (date to be announced). She would be the only Malaysian winner amongst the 5 competition categories (2017).

  • Performing his IBCC Graduation Recital - "A Night of Jazz", on 20th October, at Orchestral Rehearsal Studio, Level 9 of SOTA (School of the Arts Singapore), Singapore.
  • Composed for "Our Lives, Our Story" (SG50 - Singapore's 50th birthday celebration), tracing Singapore's nation-building journey since independence in 1965. The event took place in September 2015.
  • Performed at 'Let There be Song!', part of SOTA Music Showcases, featuring SOTA (School of the Arts, Singapore) music alumni & current students, at Victoria Concert Hall, Singapore, on 27th July 2017. 

KUAN, Jing Xun (2014)

  • Awarded 1 of 2 Partial Scholarships (£750 each) awarded by The British Malaysian Society (BMS) to the youngest selected Active Participants (students - Malaysian)
  • Selected via audition, to join a group of 50 pianists aged 7 to 52, to share the concert stage with superstar Lang Lang and the Metropolitan Festival Orchestra, in a performance of ‘Concerto in Three Movements - Celebrating Singapore’s 50th Year’, composed by a Cultural Medallion recipient at The Sing50 Mega Concert, in Singapore, on 7th August 2015
  • His composition 'The Lonely Butterfly' for gambus, violin and cello, was included in a showcase at The Arts House, as part of the Young Composers forum, organised by the Composers Society of Singapore - June 2016
  • Participated in the '6th Singapore Performers' Festival & Chamber Music Competition 2016', organized by the Singapore Music Teachers' Association, and awarded Platinum Prize (with scholarship) for piano performance - June 2016

GNAI, Amanda Song Hui (2014)

  • Awarded 2nd Place in the 'Secondary Group' at the 大台南國際音樂大賽 (Cheer Taiwan International Music Competition), March 2015
  • Awarded 'Silver Prize' in the 'Amateur Teenager' category at The Asia Music Competition 2015 亞洲音樂大賽 - Malaysia Preliminary (KL)
  • Performing at the 'Raffles International Music Festival', The Arts House University Cultural Centre, Singapore - 13-16th August 2015
  • Awarded full scholarship for 4 years towards O-level & A-level studies at Methodist Girls' School in Singapore. Methodist Girls' School is a private preparatory school, with a history of academic, music and sporting excellence, and is one of the top secondary schools in Singapore. Alumni would include the late Kwa Geok Choo (wife of the late Lee Kuan Yew GCMG, CH, SPMJ), Fang Ai Lian (Chairperson - Great Eastern Holdings Ltd), Joscelin Yeo (winner of 40 gold medals at the Southeast Asian Games), as well as others. Amanda will be starting as next intake in 2016
  • Performing with Hong Kong young musicians, as '10 Young Talent Musician Concert' - organized by Hammerklavier Music World, The Fifth Music Academy, Appasionata Music Studio - at Sekolah Lai Meng, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

  • Awarded a study place at Prayner Konservatorium, Vienna, Austria, for a Künstlerisches Diplomstudium (Artistic Diploma). She will be starting in September 2010.

  • Conductor and rehearsal pianist for Malaysia’s staging of the world-renowned Broadway show: ‘Dreamgirls!

  • Appointed the Music Programmes Coordinator and Artist-In-Residence (2015), a full-time staff, with Tenby International School, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
  • Conducting 25-piece orchestra for 'Esya the Musical!' - organized by SIBKL - Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia - 18th to 24th December 2015
  • Appointed to new post, at The International School @ ParkCity (ISP), Kuala Lumpur.
  • Composed for “A Flower’s Promise”, a musical theatre production created by the School of Liberal Arts and Sciences,Taylor's University, Subang Jaya, Malaysia, on 14th & 15th July 2017.
  • Serving as Music Director of 'That's Entertainment - A Night at the Movies', organized by Pan Productions, performances at The Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre (KLPAC), Kuala Lumpur, from 16th-20th August 2017.
  • Selected as one of the winners of the BMS 60th Merdeka Award for Young Composers (The British Malaysian Society), with his composition given a world premiere performance, at St. Lawrence Jewry, London, on Tuesday 3rd October 2017. He would be also be awarded £100, as well as mentioned in relevant BMS newsletter (The British Malaysian Society). 
  • Presented with the BMS 60th Anniversary of Merdeka Concert-Music Composition Award, as one of the winners of the BMS 60th Merdeka Award for Young Composers (The British Malaysian Society), by the Chair and Deputy Chair of the BMS, at Carcosa Seri Negara, Kuala Lumpur, on 8th November 2017, at 1pm. 

CHIAM, Shian-Li (2010)

  • Winner of Steinway and Sons Brunei Youth Piano Competition 2012
  • Selected to participate in the 2012 Course in the UK, organized by the English Schools Orchestra from 31st October to 4th November 2012, and to have performed at London's Cadogan Hall with soloist Guy Johnston, BBC Young Musician of the Year 2000. 
  • Awarded 'Award of Excellence' at the Biennial Trinity College London Awards, for her Solo Piano ATCL Trinity Diploma 2013, Brunei
  • Selected to participate in the Adam Gyorgy Castle Academy 2013, Pomaz, Hungary. She is only 1 of 10 elite student performers picked to perform at the Gala Concert, representing Brunei.
